Luke from Greenacre Sydney recently had a beautiful alfresco entertaining area added to his home. The new addition included refreshed tiling and brand new outdoor furniture. Luke adored his new outdoor space and couldn’t wait to share it with his friends and family, but he wondered how he would keep it protected from the weather and UV which would damage the space over time.

Luke asked his friend who recommended Ziptrack® awnings from Sculli Blinds and Screens in Sydney. Once he saw his friend’s installation he knew this was the solution he’d been looking for and immediately booked a consultation with one of Sculli’s specialists.

Later that week, the consultant came by to inspect Luke’s outdoor area. Luke told the consultant that he wanted Ziptrack® awnings as they would provide a clean, modern look. The consultant agreed they would be a good choice for Luke’s home, they would offer him the style he was looking for without compromising on comfort or quality. The consultant took measurements of the area in order to give Luke an accurate quote and then took Luke through the different Ziptrack® options he could choose from.

The first option Luke had to make was between strong, durable Sunscreen Mesh fabric or clear PVC. Luke opted for the Sunscreen Mesh, which the consultant explained would reduce heat transmission, as well as protect from 70-99% of wind, rain, sun and UV rays that might damage his new alfresco area. He then chose white for the colour of the mesh and opted to have his awnings installed with pelmets, which would provide extra protection for the blinds and give them a finished look. 

Once Luke decided on all of the design choices, the consultant confirmed the price and sent off the order to be manufactured. When the awnings were ready for fitting, the installation team visited Luke’s house to finish the job.

Luke was very impressed with his new awnings and thought they fit perfectly in the space. The pelmets and other aluminium finishes were also completed in Colorbond’s White colour to match the facade of his home.

Luke also noted that the awnings provided additional privacy without losing the view of his pool and backyard. Ziptrack® awnings are on a track-guided system which means that can be stopped at any height, Luke liked this feature as it would allow him to turn the space into an enclosed area if he wished.
